The Horseshoe Inn is situated in the centre of the pretty village of Ebbesbourne Wake in the heart of the beautiful Chalke Valley which runs between the historical city of Salisbury and the charming town of Shaftesbury. The Horseshoe has been run by the Bath family for over 45 years, originally by Tom and Glad for 17 years then by Tony and Pat who have now been joined by their daughter Jayne. Still running as a traditional pub with an eclectic collection of old tools adorning the walls and ceilings.

Dogs are welcome at our discretion but during busy times it may not be possible to allow them inside.

There is a large pretty garden with flower borders and fish pond together with many bench tables to enjoy during fine weather.

SUNDAY 12noon – 4.00pm /closed Sunday evening

MONDAYS closed all day (Except Bank Holidays 12noon – 4.00pm)


Food is hearty and mainly homemade utilising fresh locally grown, caught and reared produce wherever possible, combined with the best quality ingredients.


Served straight from the barrel. Otter Bitter, Palmers Copper and Bowman’s Swift One are the main stays, regularly joined by one or two guest ales. Also available is the award winning Wessex Farm Cider, made in the hamlet of Fifield Bavant just 2 miles away.
